Soccer climbing into contention

The offensive struggles continued last week for the Mount Si girls' soccer team as they made a slow climb back up the league standings.
The two games last week were against winless opponents; the Sammamish Totems and Interlake Saints. Both games were winnable, but in the game last Tuesday against Sammamish, the lack of offense was a big story for the Wildcats as they ended in a 1-1 tie.
Mariana Zanella opened the scoring just seconds in with a goal off a pass from McKinna Little. It appeared Mount Si's varsity was about to do the same thing the Wildcat JV had just done prior to the varsity contest, and that was blow out the Totems (Mount Si's JV won 6-0, with five of the goals coming late in the contest). However, despite their best efforts, nothing else made it in and that was very frustrating for coach Darren Brown.
"Our last three games have been kind of mirrors, it's been deja vu all over again. We're not finishing," Brown said, and he then admitted, "We're struggling, there's no doubt about it, we're struggling."
