Mount Si fared well, for a young team, at last weekend's league meet at Liberty High School. Six Mount Si wrestlers will represent the Wildcats at the upcoming district meet also at Liberty High School.

Leading the list of wrestlers was Ryan Ransavage, who was crowned Kingco champ at 285 pounds. Ransavage faced his nemesis, Interlake's David Slingwine, in the finals and won 9-4.

Mount Si had two other wrestlers make it to the finals. At 135 pounds, Ryan Makela faced Liberty's Luke Hansen. Hansen ended up winning the championship 11-7, but Makela will head to the district meet with a second-place finish. Jacob Lund took second after losing to Jason Marks from Interlake, 12-4 in the finals.
