Reynolds takes third at state meet

It was the highest finish attained by any Wildcat gymnast as Georgia Reynolds took third in all-around competition at last weekend's state gymnastics meet. Reynolds scored a 36.600 behind Kennedy's Gwen Smithberg's 37.550 and Mountain View's Alexi Morton with a 36.675.

Teammate Brittany Cragin took 37th overall with a score of 31.975 and Rachel Karavias took 72nd with a score of 23.400.

In individual events, Reynolds took eighth in state on the beam with a score of 8.725 and ninth on the floor with a score of 9.450. She placed 16th on the vault with a score of 9.00 and 12th on the bars with a score of 8.850

Cragin scored an 8.550 on the floor for 66th place, 8.525 on the vault for 55th place, 8.050 for 38th place on the beam and 6.850 for 62nd place on the bars.

Karavias scored a 8.850 on the floor for 55th, 8.150 on the beam for 35th and 6.400 on the bars for 73rd.

Newport and Issaquah took first and second place respectively at the state tournament in team scores.
