Get ready for Fall City Days Fun Run
The 25th annual Fall City Days Fun Run will be held on Saturday, June 14.
The event includes a 10-kilometer, 5-kilometer and a one-kilometer Kids Run. The 10k and 5K courses are USATF certified and sanctioned. The courses are flat and very fast through beautiful country settings. Register or learn more at http://fallcity.org/run.html.
The starting line is in front of Farmhouse Market located at 33521 S.E. Redmond-Fall City Rd., near Olive Taylor Quigley Park, in downtown Fall City.
Prizes and refreshments follow the race, and runners are encouraged to check out the parade and downtown events that come afterward.
Walkers and strollers are welcome, however, all participants must be finished by 10:30 a.m., when the course reopens to vehicle traffic.
The beneficiaries for this year’s event are once again the students of the Snoqualmie Valley School District.
Budget cuts have decimated funding for various programs and this event will raise funds the schools need to continue implementing some of the key educational experiences students need. Race proceeds paid to each school will be based upon a percentage of participants supporting their school.
More than $11,000 was donated to Snoqualmie Valley schools and to local youth groups from the 2013 race.
Fall City Days Run is one of four participating races in the Snoqualmie Valley Cup. This Valley tradition is entering its ninth year, and attracts top local talent. There are cash prizes for individuals and teams. No additional sign up or fee is necessary to participate. For more info visit runduvall.org/snoqualmie-valley-cup.
Registrants have the option of purchasing a race shirt.
