Spring sports tryouts coming up at Mount Si High School

Mount Si students who want to compete in spring sports have tryouts starting next week.

All athletes need a current physical on file before the first practice or tryout. Physicals need to be updated every 24 months. Download forms and find info at mountsihighschool.weebly.com/sports.html.

Girls softball

Tryouts are February 25, 26, and 27, 3 to 5 p.m. each day.  Players should bring glove, cleats, long-sleeve shirt, pants and tennis shoes (in case tryouts are moved indoors.)  A parent meeting is 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, in the school gym. Head coach is Larry White.

Boys baseball

Tryouts are February 25 to 27. The head coach is Zach Habben.

Boys soccer

Tryouts are 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25; 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26; and 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27. The head coach is Darren Brown.

Girls golf

Practice begins February 25 with a player meeting at 2:30 p.m. in the commons before leaving for the golf course. Coach contact is Brandon Proudfoot.

Girls tennis

Tryouts begin February 25. The head coach is Jim Gibowski.

Track and field

Practice begins Monday, Feb. 25. A track team meeting will be held after school in the commons on Wednesday, Feb. 13 for the athletes.  A parent meeting is March 5 in the MSHS Auditorium. The coach contact is Dave Clifford.
