Cedarcrest's Lady Red Wolves rack up three wins

On Friday, Dec. 9, the Cedarcrest Red Wolves girls' basketball team hosted Lakewood in the first league game of the season.
Cedarcrest pulled away from Lakewood in the fourth quarter to win by 25, 63-38. Cedarcrest was led in scoring by Susan Kenney with 20, Kalee Fowler had 15 and Kailyn Campbell added 14. The following day, the girls traveled to Aberdeen for a non-league match-up.
"The Red Wolves shot an amazing 51 percent from the field, including 10 three-pointers," said coach Brad Knowles.
Cedarcrest won 83-53, behind Kalee Fowler’s 21 points which consisted of five three-pointers. Kailyn Campbell had 16, Susan Kenney had 14, and Kendall Kramer scored 12 in the big offensive out put. Next, the Lady Red Wolves went to Coupeville Tuesday, Dec. 13, for their second league game of the season. Knowles attributed the team's 67-28 win to a tough half-court trapping defense and good shooting. Susan Kenney had 18, Kalee Fowler had 14 and Sarah Stauffer added 13. The Cedarcrest girls basketball team is now 2-0 in league play and 4-2 overall. Their next game is Friday, Dec. 16, at home, against Archbishop Murphy.
On Dec. 21, CHS travels to Squalicum, and the next home game is Thursday, Dec. 29, against Interlake.
