The ghoulishly garbed Mount Si High School cheerleading team took first place in the spirit contest at the June 25 Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon in Seattle.

Cheer squads from around the region were asked to dress as a rock-and-roll theme to cheer on more than 25,000 runners. This year, the Mount Si team dressed as zombies from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” and received a $1,000 award from the marathon.
