The Si View Metro Parks adult sports leagues are played mostly for fun, friendship and fitness, but when it came down to the winter championship game of the season, the competition on the basketball court was fierce.

The men’s winter league had 6 enthusiastic teams with one team rising above the rest. The Tropics took the league championship at Si View Community Center on Wednesday, March 9, with a season record of 8-0. The co-ed volleyball winter league games are wrapping up next week, with the championship game on Thursday March 31st, also at Si View Community Center.

Spring/Summer league season brings some new options to the valley in adult sports. Si View is hosting a co-ed 5 on 5 soccer league starting in mid-May along with men’s basketball. Softball and volleyball will follow a little later in mid-July.
