Hutcherson honored by Pac-10 for academics

Washington State University’s Faith Hutcherson was named to the 2010 Pacific-10 Conference Volleyball All-Academic honorable mention team, Commissioner Larry Scott announced last week.

Hutcherson graduated from Mount Si in 2006 and is a senior at Washington State University. A defensive specialist, she has a 3.10 GPA, and will graduate with a degree in communication in May 2011. This is the second consecutive year for Hutcherson to be named to the Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention team.To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade point average and be either a starter or a significant contributor. Seven student-athletes were named to the Pac-10 All-Academic Volleyball first team, seven were named to the second team and 29 were named honorable mention.
