Chief Kanim Middle School football team falls to SMS

The Chief Kanim Middle School Hawks seventh grade football team lost a hard fought game Tuesday, Oct. 19, to SMS, 12-16.

The game was a battle full of big plays and opportunities, but in the end, the Hawks came up a little short. The Hawks got on early with a Harrison D’anna touchdown pass to Dean Sanctis. Nick Polito then got in the endzone for a five-yard touchdown run.

The Hawks defense gave it their all, but in the end, couldn’t keep the Eagles out of the end zone. Coaches said they were proud of how the team never gave up.

Lance Stolworthy had six tackles and three quarterback sacks. Corey Cotto had six tackles, Dean Sanctis had a touchdown and six tackles, Nick Polito ran 75 yards and made one touchdown run. Harrison D’anna had six tackles and one touchdown pass.
