The Mount Si varsity football team broke several records while blasting Mercer Island, 42-10, in front of a big Homecoming crowd last Friday, Oct. 8.

Wildcats broke records on the night for total offense and total rushing. The 511 total yards of offense shattered the previous mark, 422, set against Newport in 1997, and the team’s 306 total yards on the ground, keyed by the two 100-plus yard efforts of Shelby Williams and Bankston, narrowly broke the previous mark of 302, set against Liberty 20 years ago.

“It was just a great game. This is obviously a must win for us for our playoff hopes and we’re in the thick of things,” said Mount Si coach Charlie Kinnune.
