The Chief Kanim Middle School seventh grade football team defeated a tough Tolt team Thursday, Sept. 23, 14-0.

The Hawks used a powerful offensive line to drive down the field on the first drive of the game. Harrison D’Anna threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Cory Cotto on a quarterback bootleg pass. D’Anna then hooked up again with Cotto for the extra point conversion. On their second drive of the game, the Hawks followed their linemen down the field to take a 13-0 lead with a Nick Polito 65-yard TD run. “Mean” Dean Sanctis then converted the two-point conversion for the 14-0 lead. The Hawks defense then took control of the game. Led by Sanctis, Cotto, Cam Page, Matthew Myers, Connor Schattenkirk and D’Anna, the Hawks smothered the Mustang ball carriers all day. The Hawks won the game 14-0.
