Practices begin for Mount Si High School sports

Practices get underway this week for student sports at Mount Si High School.

All athletes must complete a pre-clearance packet to participate, and must have a current physical. Packets can be downloaded at www.mountsihighschool.com.

Wildcat Weight Room summer hours are 9 to 11 a.m. and 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. School begins Aug. 31.

Football

First practices for football begin Wednesday, Aug. 18. Junior varsity and varsity practices start at 8 a.m., freshman begin at 9 a.m. Starting Aug. 21, twice-a-day practices start for junior varsity and varsity players.

Cross country

The clearance date for Mount Si cross country sign-ups is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 19.

Girls soccer

Clearance for Wildcat soccer is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 19.

Tryouts are 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 23 to Wednesday, Aug. 25.

Volleyball

Clearance for Wildcat volleyball is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 19.

Tryouts begin August 23. Check off is 3 p.m., with a welcome at 4 p.m. and tryouts following. Players should bring dinner.

Boys tennis

Clearance for Wildcat tennis is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 19.
