A funeral mass for Robert H. Dreifus of North Bend was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Snoqualmie.

A funeral mass for Robert H. Dreifus of North Bend was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Snoqualmie. Burial followed at 1:30 p.m. at the Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent. Robert passed away Tuesday, Nov. 20, at Veterans Hospital Medical Center in Seattle. He was 70.

Robert was born Feb. 2, 1931, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Howard and Frances Dreifus. He was raised in Brooklyn and attended school there. Robert entered the U.S. Army in 1951 and served in Korea. He was honorably discharged in 1953 due to injuries received in the war. In 1969, he moved to North Bend, where he and his family settled.

In his leisure time, Robert enjoyed playing chess, volunteering at the Seattle missions for the homeless and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. His family will remember him as a devoted father and grandfather whose patriotism showed through each day. Robert was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, at which he spent many years volunteering.

Robert is survived by his loving children, Robert Dreifus of Issaquah, Dan Dreifus of North Bend, Tina Dreifus of North Bend and Jim Dreifus of North Bend; one sister, Lilliam Rodriguez of New York; six grandchildren; and one niece.
