Scouts and adult leaders from Boy Scout Troops 425, 466 and 701 would like to thank the city of Snoqualmie for their assistance with the troops’ annual fundraiser, a tree recycling project.

This year, the tree troops, working in tandem, canvassed neighborhoods in Snoqualmie, North Bend and Fall City on Saturday, Jan. 10, collecting trees and delivering them for recycling.

The fundraiser was nearly canceled due to the flooding, but city representative Larry White made it possible for the troops to work around the disaster.

Without the revenue of this fundraiser, many Scout activities would not happen, and boys would be excluded from adventures like summer camp and Camporee. The city’s assistance on this event, and their support of scouting throughout the Snoqualmie Valley, is appreciated.

Committee chairwoman, Boy Scout Troop 425
