Letters | What does the Bible teach about gay marriage?

March 20, 2012 · Updated 2:33 PM

In response to what the Rev. Dr. James T. Elliott commented in last week’s letter, I have never written to the paper in a response to an article or story, but I felt the need to write when it comes to the truth.

It is obvious Mr. Elliott is a man of religion by his title, not to be confused with a man of God.

He states that he believes God will bless a same-gender marriage, but this directly contradicts with what the Bible teaches and therefore is incorrect.

This reminds me of what the Bible says about false teachers in the last days who will tell the people what they want to hear to satisfy their itching ears instead of the truth.

What I have said may not be popular, but it is the truth.
