Letters | Rotary Golf Tournament is huge success

Once again, we had a perfect day on Friday, July, 29, for our 18th Annual Rotary Charity Golf Tournament.

Mount Si Golf Course was filled with enthusiastic players and volunteers. The tournament was a “4-Man Scramble” with prizes to win at every hole.

Four teams tied for first place with a score of 12 under par (60). To break the tie, Matt Campbell, pro at Mount Si Golf Course, facilitated a “Chip Off.” Joe Silvestri chipped closest to the hole making the Barnard Construction Team the 18th Annual Rotary Charity Golf Tournament Champions. Congratulations!

The best part was that we raised more than $20,000, which will be given back to our community in the form of scholarships and grants to various Valley organizations. We want to sincerely thank our main sponsors, the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital and Clinics and Nintendo. We would also like thank to our Eagle Sponsors Dan Crocker Construction, Friends of Jay Rodne, Barnard Construction, Tanner Electric, Chaplin’s North Bend Chevrolet, Sterling Savings, Mumma Associates, Inc, as well as our Birdie Sponsors Cadman, James Browning DDS, Jolene’s, Braden Interior Design, Just B Art + Design, Stanton Plumbing, Windermere - Jeff Kissick, Legacy Group, Peter Zevenbergen, the Snoqualmie Valley Record, Northwest Watercolor Society, Phoenix Used Books, New York Life, Hallamore Homes, Claffey’s Painting, Brown & Sterling, St. Clare’s Episcopal Church, Gray & Osborne, Bank of the Northwest, Eddings Group-Better Properties Real Estate, Finaghty’s Irish Pub and North Bend Shell & Towing. Without your support, this tournament would not be possible.

If you are interested in serving with the Rotary Club of Snoqualmie Valley, got to www.snoqualmievalleyrotary.org or just stop by for breakfast at 7 a.m. on Thursday mornings at the Snoqualmie Ridge Golf Club. We would love to see you.

Jolene Kelly
