Letter: It’s time for clear-headed leadership in Olympia

As a newer resident in this area, I've had the opportunity to talk with Darcy Burner, candidate for the Washington State House here in the 5th Legislative District. I was impressed with what I see as her core reason for running for office: Helping build good lives for everyone.

As a newer resident in this area, I’ve had the opportunity to talk with Darcy Burner, candidate for the Washington State House here in the 5th Legislative District. I was impressed with what I see as her core reason for running for office: Helping build good lives for everyone.

Darcy has demonstrated that she knows that the environment, a vibrant local economy, clean energy technologies, equality, and fully-funded public education play key roles in our future—and that action needs to be taken immediately to address these critical issues.

In this election, as never before, we need experienced, clear-headed leadership that recognizes what needs to be done and can actually get it done.

We need someone like Darcy, who is an experienced entrepreneur and has built her own small business, championed our public educational system, led efforts toward energy alternatives, and has the determination and clout to make things happen in Olympia. We need someone whose priority is the quality of our lives, rather than someone whose priority is the corporate interest.

Darcy Burner is that person. She is clearly the most qualified candidate for this seat.

Darcy will have my vote in this election. I hope you’ll give Darcy Burner your vote as well!
