Student paper
November 11, 2008 · Updated 11:53 AM
I support the students’ boycott of the paper Cat Tales. I have experienced firsthand the race rioting in Chicago and Detroit in the ‘60s, the burning of Chicago’s West Side after Martin Luther King, Jr., was assassinated, and the ‘68 Chicago Democratic Convention.
We have come too far in our fight for civil rights to have a sock stuffed in the students’ mouths. To the students, I just want to say, “Give ‘em hell, Harry!” Oops ... can I say that?
