The Snoqualmie City Council is considering replacing our Snoqualmie Police Department with the King County Sheriff's department. This idea is being led by council members [Matt] Larson and [Greg] Fullington.

The reason being used by council is the city's financial situation as presented by the city's fiscal consultant at the last fiscal retreat. I was at the retreat and, yes, there are some fiscal concerns, but there were also solutions presented. None of the solutions included getting rid of our police department.

If you are not in favor of replacing our police department with the King County Sheriff's Department, please contact your Snoqualmie City Council members and indicate to them that you support your local police department.
