We're supporting Kim Horn for school board. Kim is the incumbent and as the only certified teacher on the board, she brings a valuable perspective to our school board.

According to the board's charter, each member must be elected by and represent the district-at-large. Kim has a proven track record of doing just that, balancing the needs of the upper and lower valleys as well as the Ridge.

As residents of the Upper Valley for nearly 15 years, we've seen the school district grow and blossom into one of the Valley's real strengths. As past co-president of Opstad PTA and after a decade of working with various committees and teams within the school district, we're truly impressed with the dedication, integrity and hard work shown by so many of our teachers and administrators.

Driving our school system to a higher level of excellence requires harnessing the talents of many dedicated individuals. Kim is a solid team player and we're confident she's the right choice as our school board guides our school system through a challenging future full of rising expectations.

Let's keep Kim.
