Technology upgrades badly needed at schools

I'd like to encourage everyone in the Valley to vote "Yes" for the school levies coming up - especially the one for technology upgrades.

I'm a volunteer at both Opstad Elementary and Mount Si High School and can attest to the outdated condition of the PCs that both students and staff are working with. The productivity hit while waiting for applications and documents to load and save is enormous compared to my 3-year old computer at home. And many of the existing machines do not have writable CD/DVD drives or readily accessible USB ports - a necessity for volunteers at the schools who do not necessarily have hard drive space but are trying to save and move around large documents on memory sticks. Floppies just don't cut it anymore.

Please vote Yes!
