Thanks to Railroad Days volunteers

I would like to thank everyone for their support for Railroad Days 2006. This was a challenging year for us. It was a first year for many of us on committee and unfortunately, there weren't very many of us. Still, with the hard work of these people, we survived our first year.
Hat's off to my choo-choo crew: Wes and Sharon, Crissy, Harold, Julie, David, Robert, Michael and Cathy, Mark and Jill, Sig, Rick, Mike, Phil, Krys, Sheryl, Jim and Lisa, Diane, Bruce, Ray, Robert W. and Rebecca. To SEACAST: The parade would not have been possible without your continued support and excellent work this year. You were amazing. A special thank you to the members of Snoqualmie Valley Alliance Church who stepped in at the last minute to staff the children's area. To Debbie Kinsman, who stepped in to work two long shifts in our information booth. To Chris Weldon and Lifepoint Church, Glen Hair and Dan Peters, who all took several shifts to help us.
To the city employees that spent long hours to make this happen ... a special thank you to: Todd, Mike, Don, Bill, Dusty, Edd, Lee, Leonard, Dean, Dennis and Tom.
Thanks to the public works, parks, police and fire departments. A special thank you to Sgt. Robert Keaton for your many hours weekend and for time spent helping us on committee. To Diane and Lisa for all your help with those thousands of questions I had throughout the year.
Many thanks to our sponsors, who really make all of this possible: San Mar, Quadrant, Salish, Go Wireless, Sahara, JTG, Glacier Northwest, Northfork Enterprises, Northwest Railway Museum, city of Snoqualmie, Northwest Custom Cycle, Legends Car Show, Les Schwab, Safeway, KBSG, Snoqualmie Valley Hospital, Falls Pharmacy, Sno Falls Credit Union, NB3, Snoqualmie Valley Record, Snoqualmie Chainsaw Carvers Depot, Rabanco, A-1 Environmental, Mike's Cascade Grill, Snoqualmie Falls Brewery, Carmichael's True Value, the Snoqualmie Tribe, Puget Sound Energy, Mount Si Golf Course, J & S Masonry, IGA, Mount Si Nursery, Snoqualmie Falls Candy Factory, Adventure Bowling, Sterling Bank, Mignone Interiors, Clown's Unlimited, Party Ponies, Tour de Peaks, Snoqualmie Valley Chamber of Commerce and Starlight Cinemas.
I would also like to thank our vendors, who survived the heat and first-year crew, and the public, for attending our annual festival. A big thank you to Snoqualmie Mayor Matt Larson for being our grand marshall and spending that "long" hour in the dunk tank. You were a good sport and we really appreciate you for doing that. Thanks to Julie and Harold for doing all the things I couldn't and to Sharon Roeder for stepping in at the last minute and picking up shirts at midnight, as well as filling various shifts. Last, but not least, my husband David, who put in countless hours doing miscellaneous things.
These are the heroes of this weekend. Thanks for all your hard work. We look forward to next year. I encourage everyone to volunteer, it's a great event.
