Councilman supports Korich-Vega
October 3, 2008 · Updated 2:08 AM
Since my election to Snoqualmie City Council in 1997, I have had
the opportunity to see Marcia Korich-Vega in active participation in the
community.
She has been attending City Council meetings and planning
commission meetings since before I ran for my seat on the council. Marcia has
been present at most meetings concerning flood issues, has asked questions
and voiced her concerns frequently.
She is excited about the new community center and looks forward
to doing what she can to make it a reality. She is concerned with the
growth in our city and watches it diligently. Marcia cares about Snoqualmie
and knows that although we can't stop growth, we can control it and
ensure that we have one united Snoqualmie striving to maintain our rural
atmosphere.
As for Marcia's opponent, I have never heard anything about her
until she filed to run for election for the council. I am unaware of any
activity she has been doing to ensure she is aware of the current city situations.
In my personal opinion, I would prefer a council member who
is knowledgeable of the current status of the city and has proven by
participation a concern for the well being of our community.
With that, based solely on my personal observations, Marcia
Korich-Vega is the right choice for City Council Position #4.
