Citizens living in Fire District 38 are urged to vote absentee or go to

the polls to vote for a fire commissioner.

Mr. Darwin Sukut is running for Position #1. He has lived in the

Upper Valley for over 30 years, served the city of Snoqualmie as a

councilman for six years and as mayor for four years. During his tenure, he had

oversight responsibilities for both the fire and police departments and their

budgets.

He was able to increase the levy with voter approval for purchase of

fire equipment and the establishment of a replacement fund for future needs.

He also revitalized the police department with its support by increasing

police responsibilities, enhancing training and upgrading facilities and

equipment.

Mr. Sukut secured funding to replace the city's water supply

transmission line, including fire hydrants, which greatly increased the number

of hydrants in the North Fork area or District 38.

I urge you to vote for Mr. Sukut, as we need someone with his

previous experience and success for a District 38 commissioner.
