I couldn't help but notice in the "year recap" stories

how David Irons "saved the Si View Pool and Community Center

… from having to close their doors next year."

I applaud his effort to have his amendment passed by

fellow council members. He was obviously the person in a position

to make it happen.

I just want to note, for the record, the many people

throughout the Valley who wrote, called, faxed and e-mailed their

messages of concern (and outrage) regarding the possibility of Si View

closing. They are the ones who truly "saved" Si View.
