A matter of priorities

Thursday, Jan. 25, the Snoqualmie Valley Record

headlined "Kids become priority for ball fields." Sounds good to me.

But inside, on page three, is an article about the King

County Council giving $50,000 — to rivers! The Friends of the Trail

group that cleans up litter, etc., around rivers was given $50,000 to

do so. Where I come from, that's done by volunteers! The

trails group plans to also utilize that $50,000 teaching kids "right

from wrong." Where I come from, that's done by the parents!

Title that article "Rivers become priority over kids."

Could your school use $50,000?
