Wish there was another way

My husband and I went to one of the meetings back in March for the Snoqualmie Ridge Residential Owners Association where the Snoqualmie Indians presented the casino.
I am not happy they want to put this casino here in Snoqualmie and right in among a residential area, close to the schools in the area. If I was living in that area I would really be upset. My personal opinion is that I feel the property values are going to drop greatly and people won't be able to sell their places easily. I know I would not buy there now just because of the casino.
I wish there was another way the Indians could raise money. I frankly think that the best thing that could happen would be for the project to be denied by the BIA. But somehow, I don't feel that will happen.
I have only lived here a short time, after living in Bellevue for many years. I am now having ambivalent feelings about living here. I am even wondering if my property also will lose its value because of the casino. In actuality, we only live two miles from the site.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know I appreciated your article on the casino. You don't hear too much about it. Maybe people are for it or they just don't care.
