Graduation is one of my favorite times of the year and the longer I am here at the paper, the more I appreciate the students who are ending their school life in our Valley and moving on to bigger and better things. It's interesting to note that Mount Si had four valedictorians. In listening to their scholarship and personal achievements, it's obvious that our support of schools in the Valley is paying off.

It was also interesting to see how many students had received honors, a feat I had only wished had happened to myself. It is one of the times that not receiving honors for grades is obvious. I did happen to nudge James, my son, when I got home and say, hey, you need to graduate with honors, it's important.

But back to the group that graduated. There are some great young adults coming out of our schools. They have achieved great things both athletically and academically.
