DUVALL - Two Lower Valley men were killed last week when the pickup truck in which they were driving missed a turn on Northeast Big Rock Road and hit a large, old-growth stump.

Kenneth Alldridge, 20, of Duvall and Sean Berg, 24, of Carnation were pronounced dead at the scene according to Duvall Police Department officials.

Duvall officers responded to the scene of the single-vehicle accident at about 12:45 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6, in the 28000 block of Northeast Big Rock Road. The road was closed for nearly 8 hours following the wreck.

Neighbors who heard the crash contacted the authorities.

The accident was the first auto-related fatality in Duvall since at least 1984, when the police department was created.

The cause of the accident was still under investigation as of the Valley Record's deadline.
