A heartfelt thank you to all the friends of Si View who contributed countless hours of volunteer work campaigning for the North Bend MPD. We are pleased that so many voters felt this wonderful community asset should be re-opened and under local control.

Scores of volunteers worked to ensure a successful vote. Behind the scenes Jackie Andrewjeski, Wanda Boe, Patti Burdick, Lynnae Bridges, Linda Grez, Mary McManus and Terry Carter all worked tirelessly to organize a successful effort. In addition, many people doorbelled their neighborhoods and passed out fliers. Over 30 people volunteered the nights before the election to phone call, and still others volunteered to wave signs on election day. The senior women and lifeguards also volunteered their time.

QFC and Safeway were gracious in allowing us to alert voters to the election on Feb. 1. John L. Scott and Maguire Hill allowed us to use their facilities to phone call and Frankie's donated pizza to feed the volunteers. Still many others supported the proposition financially. This was truly a full community effort. It is reflected in the vote - more than 70 percent of voters favored the park district.

We look forward to working as fast as possible to re-open Si View Park and pool. Thanks again for all your support.

The newly elected North Bend Municipal Park district commissioners.
