To the citizens of North Bend

Based upon medical advice I am withdrawing from the mayoral race for North Bend. I have had serious medical problems from stress in the past and they have unfortunately returned. I want to thank all of the citizens who were supportive of my desire to become mayor.

I would also encourage you to support Ken Hearing, owner of Scott's Dairy Freeze who was born and raised here in North Bend, for mayor. Ken and I have had many conversations about returning this city to a balanced program. Funding the essentials of government with a common-sense approach and representing all of the citizens is parallel to my vision.

I've informed Ken that I will be supporting him in his campaign for mayor.
