On Saturday, Dec. 13, as I was returning from a wet and cold walk with my dog, I saw two individuals sitting at the corner of North Bend Way and Bendigo Boulevard in front of Twede's Cafe. They were holding the U.S. flag and the POW/MIA flag. They were braving this miserable weather in support of our troops.

I tapped my car horn and waved to them. Still, I want these people to know that their effort means a lot to me and my heartfelt thanks go out to them and their dedication to be out there in this miserable weather.

Keep up the support, some of your neighbors are thankful. Our troops as well as you have my full support.
