Yesterday (April 21), Two Rivers High School in North Bend held a "Day of Silence," representing all the gay, lesbian, transgendered and transexual students around this country effectively silenced by their fear of the reaction of many of their fellow students (much of it negative).

My daughter chose to participate in this brave event, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank Tom, principal of Two Rivers, my daughter and all the other students and teachers who chose to "voice" their support for all the students silenced on a daily basis by ignorance and intolerance.
