We were out of town for the weekend two weeks ago. When we returned on Sunday, we had no electricity. My husband Bob called Tanner Electric.

He spoke to Steve and described where we lived. In less than 10 minutes, Elmer Sams and Steve showed up in company trucks. Elmer gets his extension pole out and proceeds to repair the transformer. He said, "You probably have a fried squirrel here somewhere." About 10 minutes after they arrived, we had electricity.

I said to my husband, "Where else in the United States could you call the electric company on a Sunday at 8 p.m. and have your problem repaired in 20 minutes?" He replied, "No where but North Bend!"

We love living in a small town. We love North Bend.
