Once again, residents and businesses have come together in support of our community.

The Friends of the Snoqualmie Library recently held its first, and now annual, plant sale. We're pleased to report great success, both in fund raising and in forging community partnerships. Funds raised will be used for sponsoring library programs, special purchases and continuing services such as the Ride and Read program.

Our success in this venture was made possible by the generous contributions of several businesses and individuals. First of all, a huge thank you to the city of Snoqualmie for allowing us to conduct our sale in the old fire station driveway. Plants were generously donated by not only community businesses, but by those outside our area as well. We're very grateful to Bill Weller, North Bend QFC; John Whims, North Bend Safeway; Cliff Allison, Sammamish Safeway; Carl Roy, Ace Hardware; and Nels Melgaard, Nursery at Mount Si. And a special thanks to Di Braun, landscape manager at the Nursery at Mount Si, for his personal plant contributions, and Erica Acton, for her beautifully painted pots.

Thank you, as well, to everyone who stopped by. Your plant and book purchases and donations help support our library as a valuable community resource.
