Paper ignored local theater production

My family appreciates the local news in your newspaper, particularly the news that relates to children's events throughout the Valley. We very much appreciated your sending a reporter to cover a story recently concerning North Bend Montessori's elementary teachers. We were greatly disappointed, however, at your total lack of coverage of the Unity Theater's spring production of "Story Theater."
My 8-year-old daughter had a wonderful experience participating in the Unity Theater's spring production. She was fortunate enough to work with a very talented man, Gary Schwartz, and a talented and enthusiastic group of adults and young people from the Valley who worked their hearts out for months preparing to present "Story Theater" at the Unity Theater in North Bend in May. It was a pleasure to watch a group of people from our community perform who are there simply for the joy of it. And they are good.
Your newspaper did not cover the play. No one from your paper showed up. There was no review of any kind in your paper during the week in between the first weekend showing and the last. Mr. Schwartz contributes a very informative article to your paper, yet the newspaper treated the play as if it did not exist.
My family has enjoyed the theater immensely - both watching monthly shows and participating in classes and in the spring play through my daughter. Both my kids had a tremendous time and learned a great deal attending Mr. Schwartz's class for young actors and watching the music and comedy in the variety shows. It is wonderful to have live theater and some place to go for family entertainment in the Valley. Entertainment at the Unity Theater has something for everyone - it is fun, smart, creative and diverse.
I hope your newspaper covers events at the Unity Theater next year and I hope more residents of the Valley come to enjoy what the theater has to offer.
