Kudos to Julia Crumb for raising money for a gift ark through Heifer International! Heifer is truly a worthy organization, bringing sustainability and self-reliance to communities all over the world. Snoqualmie United Methodist Church just completed our fund-raising effort (over the past 12 months) to purchase a gift ark. It was a wonderful effort, bringing together both adults and children to realize a common goal.

You can be certain that your donation to Heifer International will create a legacy of giving through Heifer's "Passing on the Gift," where each family who receives livestock from Heifer donates one or more of its animal's offspring to others in need. Passing on the Gift helps bring hope, dignity, health, prosperity and peace to communities that, in some cases, were previously torn apart by violent conflict and war.

I noticed that Julia will be doing some Valentine's Day fund raising for her project. What better way to honor someone you love than with a gift that literally keeps on giving. Flowers will wither away, but a gift to Heifer will keep on producing. Good luck Julia.
