Paper needs wider variety of guest columnists

Every week I look forward to receiving and reading the Valley Record, especially the editorial page. Lately, I have noticed that the "Guest Editorial" has been usually written by Don Brunell.

The issue is not whether I agree with Mr. Brunell's opinions or not. Rather, his writing appears to be a regular feature instead of a guest opinion. I believe the Snoqualmie Valley and readers of the Valley Record would be better served by a variety of viewpoints from other sources.

There are many other individuals and organizations (community service, economic, labor, political, environmental, spiritual and historical) with something important to say. They all want and need to get their opinions out to our "marketplace of ideas."

Please make the Valley Record a better paper by including a wider variety of ideas to the guest column.
