Shame on the Valley Record

First of all, I take offense at [publisher Jim McKiernan] calling the residents of Fall City "rednecks" ("Redneck reasoning reigns," May 23, page A4). There is nothing racist about this and unless you live here and have a true "interest" in what goes on in Fall City, I believe you should not pass judgment on a committee that only benefits the community. Have you read the contract? Have you been to Fall City Community Association meetings to know what you are talking about? Do you know the state, federal and tribal law that would protect the park to keep it as a "park"?

I say "shame on you" for stating hearsay facts. By the way, where do you live and with the way you have such an opinion, why didn't you attend the meeting?

Furthermore, King County expressed to everyone that doing the maintaining of the park by private organizations "was not an option."
