JAMES G. JONES

James G. Jones son of Isabel Larson Jones and the late Bennett G. (Ben) Jones passed away suddenly at his home in Yakima on March 17, 2017.

Jim was born at Snoqualmie Falls, Washington on September 24, 1943. Attended Carnation Grade School and Tolt High School with the Class of 1961. Joined the US Army Reserves in February, 1962 for 7 years. When he was young he was known as Jimmie Jones National #5W in the motorcycle racing world. Worked for Puget Power for many years before going into business for himself installing water and sewer lines on the Eastside. In his retirement he spent his winters in Yuma and summers in Yakima.

His family left to mourn his passing are his mother, Isabel Jones of Carnation; sister, Suzanne Lassman (Syl) of Carnation; brother, Greg (Sharon and Nicole) of Redmond; daughter, Toni and Grandson DJ.

There will be a private burial in the Carnation Cemetery and a memorial at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Tolt Historical Society Box 226, Carnation or The Sno-Valley Senior Center, Box 96, Carnation or donors favorite charity.
