ARLINE D. MULVIHILL

Arline D. Mulvihill, our beloved Mom, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2016 with family by her side. Mom was born on January 14, 1920 in Coupeville, Washington, as the ninth of ten children to William and Lottie Sherman. Mom met the love of her life, Edward, at a dance there when he was stationed at Fort Casey on Whidbey Island and they married in 1942.

The family moved to Snoqualmie Falls, Washington and lived in the Weyerhaeuser mill town until building their own home in Snoqualmie, Washington in 1960 and lived there for 37 years, raising four children, Greg, Kristie, Kevin and Brad. Arline and Edward moved to Edmonds, Washington in 1997 to be closer to family. Mom was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed travelling, participating in church activities, gardening and had a passionate love of animals.

Mom is now reunited with Dad (Ed) her husband of 71 years, one grandchild, all her nine siblings, her parents and so many friends who preceded her in passing. Mom is survived by her four children, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Mom was the most wonderful and loving person and will be greatly missed.

A celebration of Arline’s life will be held in Coupeville, Washington on her 97th birthday, January 14, 2017.
