Snoqualmie Police seized a large amount of methamphetamine and arrested six adults early Friday, Dec. 6, in a raid on a home in the 38000 block of Southeast Northern Street.

The successful raid was the joint effort of Snoqualmie Police and the King County Sheriff’s Office, with additional support from Snoqualmie Fire and Bellevue EMS.

“You always have medics standing by in case there’s shooting involved,” Snoqualmie Police spokesman Capt. Nick Almquist explained as he described the raid. “It’s a drug house that we were basically working for a while.”

About 30 officials from the four agencies were on hand for the raid, and there was no shooting involved.

Although Almquist could not specify who was arrested, nor whether they were known for selling drugs, he did say the raid had been planned for some time, and that the charges were primarily felony-level possession of illegal substances. Also, some of the people arrested had outstanding warrants for other crimes. Most of those arrested were local residents, ranging in age from 22 to 50.

The amount of drugs recovered is not final, Almquist said, because police are awaiting a second search warrant to complete their investigation of the home, which was divided into two residences. All occupants have been removed.
