Snoqualmie plans two more meetings for public comment on Snoqualmie Hills West annexation proposal, July 31 and Aug. 14

A portion of Snoqualmie Hills West, in the city of Snoqualmie Urban Growth Area (UGA), is under consideration for annexation. See a map of the area on the city website, bit.ly/SHPAnnexation.

Snoqualmie Heights Partners submitted a noticed of intention to petition for annexation to the city of Snoqualmie. If the potential annexation moves forward, Snoqualmie Heights Partners has indicated it may propose development of a master-planned active adult community for ages 55 and older. At this time, no proposal for such development has been filed with the city.

In preparation for Snoqualmie City Council consideration of the annexation in mid-August, there will be two more opportunities for public comment.

A special City Council meeting will be held on July 31 to allow ample time for public comment, which will be further continued at the City Council meeting on Aug. 14. Public comment will be taken on the issue shortly after the meetings begin at 7 p.m. each evening.

Information about the potential annexation and potential adult living community is posted on the city website at bit.ly/SHPAnnexation.

A video by Mayor Larson providing more information about the potential adult living community is posted on the City’s YouTube channel.

Questions about the annexation may be directed to Mark Hofman, Community Development Director; send email to mhofman@ci.snoqualmie.wa.us or call (425) 888-8007.
