Chief Kanim names honor society

Chief Kanim Middle School released its list of “Honor Society” students for the fall semester. To rank in the group, students needed to have achieved a grade point average of 3.75 or better. A student with an asterisk next to his or her name achieved a 4.0 grade point average — straight As.

Birth announcements

Shari Wilson, who works at Jeff Warren’s State Farm Insurance agency in Snoqualmie, is delighted to announce the birth of her first grandchild, Carmen Anderson, born to Zach, pictured, and Claire Anderson, who live in the midwestern United States. Carmen was born Feb. 21 and weighed four pounds, eight ounces. She was born six weeks early following a car accident in which her mother, Claire, was seriously injured. The entire family is thankful that both Claire and Carmen’s lives were saved.

Shoplifting: At 1:25 p.m., deputies received a report that a woman who lingered around clothing racks in a gifts and clothes store on Bendigo Boulevard and ran out of the shop when approached. Staff realized clothing was missing immediately after she sped away.
