North Bend looking for Parks, Recreation and Beautification commission members

The city of North Bend is looking to fill vacancies on the Parks, Recreation, and Beautification Commission. Position No. 1, term expiring on Dec. 31, 2017, and Position No. 7, term expiring on Dec. 31, 2019.

The Parks, Recreation, and Beautification Commission consists of six members, with terms of four years, and one youth member with a term of one year. The commission is an advisory body providing guidance and direction in meeting the parks, recreational, and beautification needs of the city. The commission typically meets once every other month on a Wednesday evening.

Anyone living within the city limits who is interested in serving on this commission can apply. Application forms are available at City Hall, 211 Main Ave. N., or may be printed off the city’s website at northbendwa.gov under the “news and highlights” section.
