North Bend honors City Clerk Susie Oppedal as Employee of Year

The city of North Bend has named City Clerk Susie Oppedal its 2016 Employee of the Year.

Mayor Ken Hearing and city staff recognized Oppedal for her many contributions and accomplishments on behalf of the city at the annual employee recognition luncheon, Dec. 8.

Oppedal began working for the city of North Bend in 2007, having previously worked as a legal assistant. She was recognized for her strong work ethic, high degree of leadership, strong communication skills, and outstanding customer service.

“Susie’s leadership and willingness to take on tough, detailed projects despite her heavy work load speaks to her high level of performance and commitment to the city” said Mayor Hearing.

Hearing and staff also recognized Project Manager Brian Tucker for his work ethic, dedication and commitment to the citizens and community of North Bend.

Tucker began working for the city in 2014, having previously worked for Worley Parsons as a lead senior designer.

New staff members in 2016 include wastewater plant operator Jerry Forza, and SCADA supervisor Chris Cote.
