The Fall City Learning Garden will host a free fall soil fertility workshop, 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25 at the garden, located behind the Masonic Hall, 4304 337th Pl. S.E., Fall City.

Come to learn sustainable edible garden methods, and to learn up compost and cover crops. Well made compost using garden debris and free or low-cost local materials can increase your soil’s fertility. Winter cover crops protect soil nutrients and provide food for beneficial soil organisms.

The hands-on workshop will include cleaning up the garden beds and using the plant debris to build compost for next season.

Donations are welcome. Garden access is from the alley behind the Masonic Hall.
