Police blotter for March 10-15

March 10

Theft: At 1:31 p.m. in the 200 block of Main Avenue South, a customer stole an iPhone XS Max from Verizon Wireless. The suspect was approached by police and the phone returned.

Suspicious circumstances: At 5:36 p.m. in the 700 block of East North Bend Way, parachutes landed on the baseball fields on the north side. A paraglider pilot landed at Torguson after launching from Tiger Mountain.

March 11

Welfare check: At 5:28 a.m. in the 400 block of Southeast Maple Drive, a male who appeared to be high, was stumbling and acting agitated, was escorted home. He had difficulty standing but was able to talk to his mom at the door and she welcomed him in. He’s going to sleep it off.

March 13

Reckless driving: At 11:31 a.m. at East 4th Street and Ballarat Avenue North, a blue Jeep Cherokee was seen driving around with someone on the roof rack. They pulled into Two Rivers School and went inside. The police spoke with the “kids” about the dangers of that, and what criminal action can be taken. Both kids called their parents to explain. No charges.

March 15

Trespassing: At 2:40 p.m. at an East Park Street red vacant house, a transient male walked into the shed behind the residence. Officers contacted the subject and he was trespassed from East Park Street until 2099.
