Snoqualmie fire department sets team fundraising record for stairclimb

The department raised $6,775 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

On March 11, nine Snoqualmie firefighters in full firefighting gear and self-contained breathing apparatus competed in the 27th Annual SCOTT Firefighter Stairclimb, a climb to the top of the 69-floor Columbia Center in downtown Seattle.

Thanks to donations from the community, the team raised a record $6,775 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

For the second year in a row, Snoqualmie Firefighter Matt Mundy proved the fastest stair climber on the team with a time of 18:07. This year’s Snoqualmie team included Chief Mark Correira, Lt. Kelly Gall, and Firefighters Lorrie Jones, Robert Lasswell, Paul Marrero, Matt Mundy, Kristina Myers, Peter O’Donnell, and Ben Parker.
